OYMOD is a new label that reverses tradition
to shape the unexpected.
It reworks the Japanese art
of kumihimo—traditional braiding —
with bold, unconventional ideas
to create new forms.
The first release is the kumihimo belt:
a single braid wrapped around the waist
carrying ancient meanings into modern fashion,
while highlighting the wearer’s
individuality and style.

白を内側に閉じ込めた黒。繧繝（うんげん）と呼ばれる徐々に色が移り変わる柄で外側を濃くしたこの配色は、進むべき道を照らす光のよう。織物に近い鎌倉組の技法で組まれたこの組紐ベルトは、伸びないのが特徴。チャンスを逃したくないとき、決意を形にしてくれる一本です。

Braided with the Kamakura-gumi technique, known for its firm, woven texture, this belt hardly stretches. 薄藤色は、春から夏へ移ろう季節を切り取った色。藤は古くから「ふじ」とも読み、長寿や不老を願う植物の象徴でした。この組紐ベルトは、空と緑の間で咲く藤の花を捉え、締めると生命力や成長の力をふんわり感じさせてくれます。
Wisteria Pale is a color that reflects the season shifting from spring to summer. Wisteria, also read as “fuji” in Japanese, has long been a symbol of longevity and immortality. This kumihimo belt captures the wisteria flowers blooming between sky and greenery, gently giving the wearer a sense of vitality and growth.

厄除けや縁起を担う本紅、はじまりの瓶覗色（かめのぞきいろ）。その二つを静かに支え、束ねる皂色（くりいろ）。三つの色をひとつに結び上げるのは、正倉院の宝物にも用いられてきた奈良組の技法。この組紐ベルトは、人生の節目にまっすぐ筋を通すときにそっと寄り添ってくれる一本です。
