According to the Taiheiki, it is said that the Emperor rode on a carriage with the five-colored clouds design, which was used as a vehicle for the nobles. By braiding more detailed and finer Sazanami-gumi than the traditional one, Goun incorporates five colors to create an obijime that expresses delicacy and graceful gentleness.
It is an obijime that can be used for both formal and fashionable wear.
