This "Sekkazu" is an obijime based on a custom-made undergarment pattern that was made at the request of the Furukawa Museum of History to match the snowflake pattern on the sword.
Doi Toshitsura, the feudal lord of the Koga domain, observed and recorded snow crystals for the first time in Japan. The design of the crystal is expressed in the twill of the Korai-gumi.
The technique of inserting patterns into the braid is called ayadashi.
The front is blue and the back is white, and both can be used.
It's good to wear it in winter, but if you wear it with your outfit in midsummer, it will make the surroundings feel cool.
Size Length: about 150cm Width: about 1.6cm Thickness: about 2mm
