In the Heian period, Chisho Daishi (Enchin), the founder of the revitalization of Miidera, brought back from Tang Dynasty with a delicate and beautiful woven cord. The design was expressed in Kamakuragumi in the early Showa era, and was named "Mii-dera". It is a braid that requires great skill in both dyeing and braiding.

Domyo braids and obijime are hand-dyed and hand-assembled one by one, so there may be slight differences in color and braid.
In the case of danzome or gradation dyeing, the part that appears in the knot varies depending on the body shape and the thickness of the obi to be matched.
