Maruyatsu-gumi Kumihimo Lanyard Braiding experience plan (English only)

Braid your own lanyard using the Maruyatsu-gumi braiding technique. Following a quick historical tour through the Kumihimo Museum, you will braid your own kumihimo cord using 100% silk threads and the same authentic tools used by our artisans. Finishing touches will be done onsite so that you can take your final piece home with you. 

You will be able to choose from a number of color combinations already prepared for you. Your finished cord can be attached to a smartphone or used with an ID badge, making it suitable for business settings as well.

※You have the choice of either a swivel hook or a key ring for your metal attachment. Smartphone cases and pass cases are not included. The cord can be braided to a maximum length of approximately 120 cm.

We are located down the narrow street between “Family Mart” and “Okashi no Machioka.”

Please note that there is no parking space available for cars, bicycles, or scooters. We recommend taking public transportation.

Cancellations are accepted with a full refund up to the day before your reservation. Same-day cancellations will incur a 100% fee.
